MCCC Traveling Trap League 2009

       Banquet September 20th @ Canvasback

General Membership Meeting

There will be a work party on the rifle pistol range August 25th starting around 6:00 PM to continue work on the pistol range shelter. Remember: Many hands make light work.

The membership of the Maybee Sportsman Club wishes to extend our deepest sympathy to Kenny Brancheau on the loss of his mother.  Out thoughts and prayers are with him.

The club by-laws require that Active and Associate members sign the register book 12 “SCHEDULED” Club functions a year. Attending a membership meeting gets you credit for ½ of a work hour.  Scheduled functions are dinners, varmint league, archery shoots, membership meetings, open trap, military rifle league, work parties, campout weekend, etc (any function listed on the club calendar). Many members do not sign the book.  There is no penalty for not signing the book but signing in helps to show who is really interested in participating in the club events.

The right hand 4 ft. sq. rubber backstop on the rifle range is for black powder and shotgun target shooting.  Please use this so that you do not destroy the large backstop rubber with large caliber weapons. Members need to clean up their brass, remove their targets and staples from the backstop, fill out an envelope with how many rounds they fired and what caliber, and “PAY WHEN THEY USE THE RANGE”. Members need to sign the book located in the back entryway when they go down to the range”.

Any Club Use events must be approved by the Directors at least “60 days” in advance of the event to avoid scheduling conflicts with regularly scheduled club events.

When hosting an event and using the kitchen, be sure to Contact Mark Weyher @ 734-587-2080 and let him know your needs so that he can make sure you have the necessary kitchen supplies.  Members hosting events are responsible for their own kitchen food preparation and cleanup.

There were 49 people present at the August Membership meeting.  12 of those present were Directors and Officers.  This means that 20% of the club membership is making all of the club decisions.  More member participation is needed! Come out to support YOUR club!
